Accessing to and exchanging information is vital in medical settings, be it in research or in healthcare management. Most of this information is contained in clinical reports written in natural language free text and, therefore, it cannot be easily processed by automatic systems. This document describes our final degree project, “Procesador autom´atico de infor-
mes m´edicos”, and its objective, which is the creation of a medical concept extraction system that maps texts to SNOMED CT (a standard reference terminology). Moreover, to prepare the text for the concept detection, several other tasks are performed: spelling correction, acronym detection and disambiguation, and negation detection. In order to build the different parts of the application, we have applied natural language processing techniques to clinical reports in Spanish. This poses a challenge, given that most of the work done in this field deals with texts in English and theavailable resources are rather limited. The previously described tasks are implemented in a software that automatically process medical texts, generates a conceptual representation from their contents and serves as an example of a useful application to manage clinical reports in healthcare and research settings. Furthermore, we have built two auxiliary systems to measure the effectiveness of our tool, which allow to manually tag reports to build an annotated corpus and to use such corpus to evaluate the results of the automatic processing
No obstante, será necesario realizar ensayos
A supply chain is a process that seeks to meet the needs of customers, therefore, they
must aim to achieve the highest satisfaction at the time of delivering the service, without leaving
a side, that it most exist an alignment between the processes that make up the chain with the
strategy of the organization
The alignment, between the processes and the strategy is important, since it entails the
realization of the proposed strategic objectives. In the case that this alignment does not exist, one
of the solutions that the good practices proposed is to carry out a redesign of these.
The redesign of processes not only with the alignment, but through the application of the
BPM methodology allows the identification of the situations that affect the execution. The activities
contemplated by the methodology are: identify, analyze, redesign, coordinate and monitor the
processes.
This methodology allows to achieve a continuous improvement and thanks to the
identification of problems, allows to propose solutions based on good practices that favors the
organization, among them is the formulation of key performance indicators and the proposal of an
standard, the for process
Application of an opinion consensus aggregation model based on OWA operators to the recommendation of tourist sites
Given the growth in tourism online data as a result of a large number of users posting their personal opinions in social networks and other online platforms with the idea to help other visitants, many authors have proposed a huge variety of ways to classify the sentiments contained in these opinions in order to recommend services (hotels, restaurants, etc.) and destinations to the users with the intention of facilitating their trip planning. In this paper, the authors propose a model to rank tourist sites of a city, based on OWA operators, with the objective of being used as a recommender system. The authors would like to acknowledge the financial support from the EU project H2020-MSCA-IF-2016-

Savana: Un Entorno Integral de Extracción de Información y Expansión de Terminologías en el Dominio de la Medicina
Terminological databases constitute a fundamental source of information in the medical domain. They are used daily both by practitioners in the area, as well as in academia. Several resources of this kind are available, e.g. CIE, SnomedCT or UMLS (Unified Medical Language System). These terminological databases are of high quality due to them being the result of collaborative expert knowledge. However, they may show certain drawbacks in terms of faithfully representing the ever-changing medical domain. Therefore, systems aimed at capturing novel terminological knowledge in heterogeneous text sources, and able to include them in standard terminologies have the potential to add great value to such repositories. This paper presents, first, Savana, a Biomedical Information Extraction system which, combined with a validation phase carried out by medical practitioners, is used to populate the Spanish branch of SnomedCT with novel knowledge. Second, we describe and evaluate a system which, given a novel medical term, finds its most likely hypernym, thus becoming an enabler in the task of terminological database enrichment and expansion. This work is partially funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness under the following sponsorships: Maria de Maeztu Units of Excellence Programme (MDM-2015-0502), and TUNER project (TIN2015-65308-C5-5-R, MINECO/FEDER, UE)
Leveraging Users’ Trust and Reputation in Social Networks
In on line communities, where there is a huge number of users that interact under anonymous identities, it has been observed that e-word of mouth is a very powerful influence tool. So far, this technology is well known in on-line marketplaces, such as Amazon, eBay or travel based platforms like Tripadvisor or Booking. However, these trust based approach can be leverage in other scenarios from e-democracy to trust based recommendations on e-health context and e-learning systems. The purpose of this contribution is to analyse the main existing trust and reputation mechanisms and to point out new research challenges that needs to be accomplished with the objective of fully exploiting these systems in real world on-line communities. The authors would like to acknowledge the financial support from the EU project H2020-MSCA-IF-2016-

Dynamics of Scalar Field Dark Matter With a Cosh-like Potential
The dynamics of a cosmological model fueled by scalar field dark matter with
a cosh-like potential plus a cosmological constant is investigated in detail.
It is revealed that the late-time attractor is always the de Sitter solution,
and that, depending on the values of the free parameters, the oscillating
solution of the scalar field -- modeling cold dark matter -- mediates between
some early stage (say, the radiation-dominated solution) and the accelerating
de Sitter attractor.Comment: 9 pages, 17 figures, uses RevTe
orientada a objetosTraditional classification techniques, basically pixel-based approaches,
are limited. Typically, they produce a characteristic
“salt and pepper” effect, and are unable to extract objects of interest.
These techniques have considerable difficulties in dealing
with the rich information content of medium and high-resolution
images. One alternative to these classification systems can be a
previous segmentation of the image to be classified. In this way,
object-based classification can be performed so that a significant
increase on the information that can be extracted is obtained. In
the present work, the aim is to obtain a digital classification of
wilderness-urban interface areas that can be used by fire management services. To this end, a digital aerial image provided by
the DMC sensor was segmented and classified using eCognition
software, which allows homogeneous image object extraction.
The meaningful image objects obtained were then used for the
classification. Segmentation before classification worked out as
an efficient image analysis technique, overcoming traditional approaches
limitations. Digital aerial photographs and data of 350
plots in Granada, Spain, were used to validate the classifications
obtained; the overall classification accuracy of 90% and an excellent
Kappa statistic (85%) for the object-based classification,
proved the validity of this metho
Algorithms of expert classification applied in quickbird satellite images for land use mapping
The objective of this paper was the development of a methodology for the classification of digital aerial images, which, with the aid of object-based classification and the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), can quantify agricultural areas, by using algorithms of expert classification, with the aim of improving the final results of thematic classifications. QuickBird satellite images and data of 2532 plots in Hinojosa del Duque, Spain, were used to validate the different classifications, obtaining an overall classification accuracy of 91.9% and an excellent Kappa statistic (87.6%) for the algorithm of expert classificatio
Interaction Sports are developed in extremely variable, unpredictable contexts, which means that the level of entropy is very high. In these environments, where decision making is decisive for sporting success, the participation of the central executive plays a key role. The aim of this study was to explore the potential importance of executive functions such as predictive value of the level of expertise of basketball players. A total of 34 men basketball players, of whom 12 belonged to a professional team of the ACB league (M = 25.2 years), 12 a semi-pro team of the EBA league (M = 20.7 years) and 10 of a regional amateur league team (M = 22.7 years) were evaluated. Design Fluency Test was used for cognitive flexibility and Stroop interference test for the inhibitory capacity. Differences between the means of the ACB players and those of the other two groups, but not between semiprofessional and amateurs were found. The results show a greater cognitive flexibility of professional basketball players over non professional players but instead does not distinguish between groups when referring to the inhibitory capacity. Considering that the first test also measures working memory and inhibitory capacity, the overall results point to the importance of executive functions in basketball and are consistent with those of previous studies indicating that elite athletes compared to sub-elite or novice have superior cognitive performance, although in this case highly specialized
